Target Free Saturday: Photo Magic

A Family Fun Day... Celebrating an exhibit of
The California Museum Youth and Teen Photo
Contest Entrants.

The Museum will host Target Free Saturday filled with family activities inspired by Ansel Adams, 2007 California Hall of Fame Inductee.

Visitors can learn how a camera takes pictures when they enter the Camera Obscura, a life size darkroom that demonstrates the inner workings of the camera.
Photographers will lead demonstrations for visitors to gain insight into composition techniques and lighting effects. Classes will be available for all ages.
Professional photographers will share their inspirational stories for young and old camera lovers.
Family Fun activities include developing photographs with the sun and creating paintings with recycled materials.
An exhibit featuring The California Museum's photo contest submissions will be unveiled, including awards for the winners. Check back in June for more information on submitting amateur photographs for our youth and teen photo contest.
