Extraordinary women from every walk of life strengthen, shape and serve our great state. California’s Remarkable Women honors their significant roles and achievements, drawing its inspiration from past and present achievements of California women. In doing so, it delivers an energetic message about the limitless opportunities and possibilities awaiting present and future generations of women leaders.

Image of Remarkable Women ExhibitFrom farm worker organizer Dolores Huerta to actress Elizabeth Taylor, the exhibit includes approximately 200 remarkable California women. The exhibit also invites museum visitors to nominate the remarkable women they know or know about.

The exhibit is presented by California First Lady Maria Shriver, in partnership with the California Museum, the Office of the Secretary of State, and the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
