“California Creates: Tapigami” is the first museum exhibition for local artist Danny Scheible and the first exhibit to feature work through the Sacramento Arts & Business Council’s Flywheel Arts Incubator, a program that provides emerging artists with the tools to succeed in the arts and the opportunity to exhibit their work at The California Museum.

A new art form invented by Scheible while a Studio Art major at UC Santa Cruz, Tapigami incorporates various types of tape and other materials to create large scale art installations. Featuring Scheible’s best-known piece, “Tape City,” an evolving, handmade 1,500 sq. ft. work depicting an urban landscape, the exhibit also includes his hanger art, multimedia and more, along with Tapigami jewelry and objects d’art for sale in the Museum Store.
