In partnership with Esquire IMAX Theatre and the State Capitol Museum, the California Trilogy Tour provides a unique look at California. This program brings the state's diverse history alive with interactive, colorful exhibits and multimedia presentations that create an environment where sight, sound and historic treasures lead students to discover California's unique people and places.
The California Museum - home of the California Hall of Fame - is a cultural destination dedicated to telling the rich history of California and its unique influence on the world of ideas, innovation, art and culture. We advance our mission to inspire by constantly creating new interactive exhibits and engaging programs for students of all ages. Students learn not just the history of the state, but the stories of the people who shaped this diverse and unique state, in exhibits like the California Hall of Fame, the California Dreamers, and Uprooted! The Japanese Americans During WWII.
The Esquire IMAX movie experience, Adventures in Wild California, uses stunning cinematography to provide dramatic views of California’s natural beauty and introduces viewers to some of the people who have made California such a great state. The heart-pounding imagery takes you to California's furthest edges. “Wild California” is a virtual expedition that sends audiences careening down an icy mountain face with snowboarders, swimming through the oceans with otters, and excavating the very heart of a thirty-story tall Giant Sequoia with botanists. The State Capitol and surrounding park is truly a living museum and a beautiful setting to marvel at the history of our state’s government.
