Experience California Legacy Trails Online
Imagine a museum without walls, where California’s history, people and ideas come alive in new and evolving ways, with a vibrant online community where one can share new California stories adding to California’s remarkable history. Introducing the California Legacy Trails, conceived by Maria Shriver and brought you to by The California Museum. The Legacy Trails brings California to life online, where visitors will learn about California’s vast contributions, such as where progressive movements were born, where the finest grapes in the world are grown, where movie stars grew up, and where popular electronic products are produced.
As parents, you can use the Trails as a fun and engaging kids activity, that is interactive, and teaches your kids all about California. The California Legacy Trails features slide shows, biographies, videos, artwork and timelines for each topic. Your kids can become part of a community by creating their own trails, and adding comments to other users’ submissions. They can download the California Passport, an official document to a California great adventure, featuring 16 exciting destinations, some of California’s greatest landmarks. There are also e-postcards where you can place your image in the card, and email it to your friends and family.
Visit our first trail California’s Remarkable Women, a journey through the lives of amazing women whose stories are as diverse and awe-inspiring as the California landscape. Presented by the Women’s Conference.
