The Museum offers a variety of interactive and engaging learning experiences and educational programs to appeal to the interests of students, families, educators and kids of all ages while also aligning with California State Board of Education Content Standards for history and social science.
The Museum places an emphasis on providing the state’s educators with the resources needed to educate and inspire the young people who will one day become California’s voters, decision-makers and leaders.
Through programs aligning with State content standards, the Museum’s interactive exhibits and hands-on learning opportunities offer a new read on California’s history, arts and culture for teachers and students alike.
Launching Fall of 2013, Re-Create at the Museum is a new partnership between Re-Create Eco Art Center and the Museum providing sustainable learning programs designed to educate Californians on the benefits of conserving natural resources and reducing landfill waste.
Through joint programming including field trip tours, hands-on learning activities and family-friendly workshops, Re-Create at the Museum inspires visitors to harness their creativity and challenges them to rethink and reuse materials as they turn trash into treasure.
