Learning experiences extend beyond the classroom. But, due to budget cuts and decreased resources, many schools are finding it increasingly difficult to provide students with the first-hand learning opportunities provided on a field trip to a cultural institution or museum.
In response, the Museum offers field trip scholarships to eligible schools, helping to further our mission to educate, enlighten and inspire students through hands-on learning experiences and educational tools that bring California’s history, arts and culture alive for under-served children in our community.
As of May 10, 2016, all scholarships for the 2016-17 school year have been awarded. Applications may still be submitted through July 31, 2016. Qualifying applicants will be placed on a wait list and contacted if additional scholarships become available.
