Homeschool Day offers small groups an opportunity to experience the Museum’s K-12 educational programs while taking advantage of discounted admission normally only available for groups of 30 or more students.
On Mon., Mar. 27, 2017, groups of 2 or more are invited to book a tour at 10:00 am, 11:00 am or 12:00 pm for $3.50 per person and explore the Museum’s programs on Japanese Americans in California. Highlights include admission to all current exhibits including Kokoro: The Story of Sacramento’s Lost Japantown and hands-on activities including how to make origami cranes, boats and cats. Students in grades 4 and up are also welcome participate in a complimentary tour of Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII, focusing on the wartime incarceration of Japanese Americans led by docents who experienced it.
