Merry Little Christmas
What: All five choirs of the Sacramento Children’s Chorus will do their part to create a merry little Christmas concert. Expect classical pieces – some with a modern twist – and popular music in this holiday concert, which kicks off the 21st season for the chorus.

‘A Century of Modern Design’
What: Celebrate the 101st birthday and design legacy of Sacramento native Ray Eames with workshops, research presentations, hands-on activities and self-guided tours of the “Ray Eames: A Century of Modern Design” exhibit.

What: It may not be a visit from the Ghost of Christmas Past, but you can peek into holidays of a bygone era at Sutter’s Fort. See the simplicity of an emigrant Christmas of the 1840s as interpreted by docents. Visitors can try hands-on activities such as dipping candles and making toys or ornaments.

Fun and food in Mokelumne Hill
What: This historic Gold Rush town shows off its hometown pride with carolers, face-painting and complimentary food and drink along Main Street. Pop into the library for storytelling or catch a ride on a hay wagon.

Celebration of the season
What: How could it get more festive than this? Street theater and a Mexican mercado are rolled into one afternoon event. The 45-minute modern retelling of the Mexican Pastorela, a traditional fable with shepherds, angels and devils, starts at the Convention Center and moves along K Street to the market set up in the lobby of the Crest Theater.
