Tennis superstar Serena Williams brings her overhead smash to Sacramento this summer when her Washington D.C. Kastles take on the Sacramento Capitals in a World Team Tennis match.

The league announced its 2011 schedule today.

Williams, the 13-time Grand Slam singles champion who was inducted into the California Hall of Fame at the California Museum in December, will be here July 9.

The Capitals’ play at Sunrise Mall. The team’s home opener is July 8, against the New York Sportimes, followed by the Kastles on July 9, and the Newport Beach Breakers on July 10.
