Girl Scout Badge Programs
The Museum offers Girl Scout programming for troops of all ages that provide an engaging way to learn about California history, arts and culture while having fun. Three badge-earning programs are available to choose from:
Learn how to “interview” an artifact using the methods of trained historians to uncover the untold stories of past. Create your own piece of folk art inspired by the Museum’s collection to preserve your own story as a future relic from the present.
Push up your sleeves and dig up your “roots”! Journey through the Museum to discover the many ways people leave their personal stories behind for others to find. Learn how to work on your own family tree and play games passed along through the generations.
Back to the Past
Explore the Museum through a fun scavenger hunt, learn about local legends, explore historic maps and discover the history of California to apply to their own community. Become a storyteller of history by writing newspaper stories about the exciting people and places often overlooked in history texts featured in the Museum.
