Maryles V. Casto
Maryles Casto is CEO & President of Casto Travel, Inc. Maryles began her career in travel as a flight attendant for Philippine Airlines, quickly moving up the ranks to become Manager of In-flight Service. Coming to the United States after her marriage, she became the manager of a major travel agency in the San Jose area.
In 1974, Maryles and a partner each put in $1,500 and founded Casto Travel. Today, Casto Travel ranks 28th in the Top 50 Travel Agencies in the United States.
Maryles is also active in civic and philanthropic organizations. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Parkinson’s Institute, and is on the Executive Board of the Commonwealth Club of San Jose. She is the past Chair of the San Jose Cleveland Ballet (now Ballet San Jose of Silicon Valley), an active member of the prestigious Committee of 200, and a member of the Women’s Forum of Northern California. She is one of the Charter members of the San Jose Sharks Leadership Council and serves on the Board of the San Jose Convention and Visitors Bureau and The Exploratorium in San Francisco.
In addition, she sits on the Board of Directors of Anscor, an international travel company.
