Experience life in a WWII internment camp. Walk through a
recreated barrack and hear first-hand accounts from
Japanese American docents who were interned. They share their
personal stories and remembrances of their experience.
Students explore citizenship, constitutionality and the concept
of redress. A docent will assist the group with completing
the Time of Remembrance Activity Sheet and lead them on a tour of
the “Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII” exhibit.
A free resource packet to prepare your class for this
thought-provoking and powerful program is available.
