Activism & Democracy Field Trip

Designed to increase student civic engagement, this onsite field trip program explores California’s history of activism and legacy in leading social movements that shape democracy.

Includes a 25-minute interactive classroom program followed by completion of an activity sheet and self-guided tour of the Unity Center and current exhibits, plus pre- and post-visit activities. Aligned with 3rd-12th grade History-Social Science, Common Core ELA, Civics outcomes and Ethnic Studies.
