Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is comprised of esteemed professionals and respected leaders in a variety of industries who lend their expertise to the continued growth and success of The California Museum. The function of the Board is to support the Museum’s mission to educate, enlighten and inspire a broad audience with California’s rich history and culture. As a governing body, they advise the Executive Director, raise funds to support major Museum programming and recruit new members from across the state.

Jami Goldstene
Secretary

Jami Goldstene is the Co-Founder of Solomon’s in Sacramento, CA, created to honor Tower Records and its founder Russ Solomon. Solomon’s represents the heart of a Jewish delicatessen combined with international street food inspired by great cities around the world. Like Tower Records, Solomon’s is a community gathering place where culture and music is celebrated and everyone is welcome.

Francisco Castillo

Francisco Castillo is Director, State Government Relations for Diageo North America (NYSE: DEO), a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer. In his role, he is responsible for managing Diageo’s state legislative strategy for 12 western states.

Prior to joining Diageo, Francisco served as Senior Director, Public Affairs for Union Pacific Railroad, where he led the company’s legislative advocacy efforts and community relations activities in California and Nevada. He joined UPRR in January 2015 as Director of Corporate Relations and Media, where was responsible for developing, planning and implementing external communications strategies that advanced the company’s business goals.

Francisco has a wealth of political and policy experience, having served in senior roles for then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, First Lady Maria Shriver, and again for Newsom in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office.

He is an active community member and volunteers his time serving on several boards in the Sacramento region including the Yolo County Children’s Alliance, Sacramento Covered and the California Museum. Francisco is a 2018 Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and recognized as one of the 2018 Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 under 40. In 2021, Sacramento Magazine named him one of Sacramento 100 notable business leaders. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from San Francisco State University.

Jackie Kinney

Jackie Kinney currently works as an independent broadband policy and legislative consultant with a focus on ensuring that all Californians have access to high-speed internet service.

Recent private sector positions include four years as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the California Cable & Telecommunications Association and two years as Vice President for State Government Affairs in California for Frontier Communications.

Drisha Leggitt is an internationally recognized business development, marketing and public relations professional who has led successful, award-winning, global and regional marketing, public relations/affairs, funds/investor relations, strategic planning, and execution for such corporations, governmental, and nonprofit organizations as: Hewlett-Packard Company, Agilent Technologies, TSI Semiconductors, Innovations Health Systems, LCS Technologies, Enosi Life Sciences, Anpac Bio-Medical Science Company, and Nicolas’ Garden among others.
