Join us celebrating the opening of the all-new signature exhibit “Gold Mountain: Chinese Californian Stories” and the Lunar New Year on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 from 12 to 5 pm!

Festivities include:

  • Self-guided tours of “Gold Mountain: Chinese Californian Stories,” an all-new signature exhibit exploring more than 175 years of the history from the Gold Rush to present (12-5 pm)

  • Welcome address by exhibit subject Lisa Ling (12:20 pm)

  • Lion dance performance by Leung’s White Crane Dragon And Lion Association (1 pm)

  • Calligraphy demonstrations by Stephen Tse & hands-on craft activities (1-4 pm)

  • “Gold Country’s Last Chinatown: Marysville, California” (Arcadia Press, 2020) author presentation & book signing (1:30 pm)

  • Screening of the 2016 documentary film “Forever, Chinatown” plus filmmaker Q&A (2 p.m.)

  • $3 flat-rate parking in the Bonderson Garage (Lot 24) located at 1500-1520 10th Street across the street from the Museum (cash only)

  • More fun for all ages
