Join the California Museum and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom in celebrating International Women’s Day on Mon., Mar. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Presented in recognition of the global day honoring women, this online event features discussion on the role of motherhood in society and social movements. Special guests include Dr. Shirley N. Weber, California’s first African American Secretary of State, and Anna Malaika Tubbs, author of “The Three Mothers: How the Mothers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation.” Both guests’ achievements are highlighted in the Museum’s signature exhibit “Women Inspire: California Women Changing Our World.”
