Hours, Admission & Tickets
Effective May 8, 2021

The Museum reopens to the public on May 8, 2021 with new protocols for hours and admission as detailed below.

New Policies effective May 8, 2021:

In keeping with California Department of Public Health’s guidance for indoor museums, admission is limited to a maximum capacity of 10 visitors per half hour, and no group tours or groups of visitors are permitted at this time.

Visitors are encouraged to purchase an advance ticket¹ for a specific time slot to guarantee entry. Advance tickets are available in half-hour increments and may be exchanged for a different day or time slot up to one (1) hour in advance of ticket time. Visitors who arrive later than 20 minutes after their timed ticket will forfeit entry. Sorry, no refunds provided for advance tickets. All visitors, including those qualifying for free admission, must have their own advance ticket or pay walk-up admission at the time of arrival.

Walk-up admission is available on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to a maximum capacity of 10 visitors per half hour. Last admission is one hour before closing.

For questions or assistance with admission, please call (916) 653-0650 during Museum hours listed below or email reservations@californiamuseum.org during administrative hours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
