Exploring citizenship, constitutionality and redress, the “Time of Remembrance” Virtual Webinars bring a pivotal chapter of history to life for students through the first-hand accounts of Japanese American docents who experienced life behind barbed wire during WWII.
Includes a recorded video tour of “Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII” led by survivors of the incarceration and a 30-minute live docent-led Zoom webinar, plus lesson plans, digital artifact kit and follow-up activities related to current issues. Aligned with 5th, 8th and 11th grade History-Social Science, Common Core ELA and Ethnic Studies.
Special admission offer – $50 per classroom.
