Time of Remembrance Virtual Tour
February 1 - March 26, 2021

Exploring citizenship, constitutionality and redress, the “Time of Remembrance” Virtual Tour brings a pivotal chapter of history to life for distance learning students through the first-hand accounts of Japanese American docents who experienced life behind barbed wire during WWII.​

Includes a recorded video tour of Uprooted! Japanese Americans During WWII” led by survivors of the incarceration, followed by a 30-minute live Zoom session with docent, plus lesson plans, digital artifact kit and follow-up activities related to current issues. Aligned with 5th, 8th and 11th grade History-Social Science and Common Core ELA.
